As soon as the word Color / Colour Inspiration comes up there are two websites that come to mind. Colour Lovers and Adobe Kuler are two of my favorite sites to go to when looking for colors, color inspiration or color tools. When Adobe Kuler came out I started to get more into creating different color variations and was amazed with this program. Soon after, what I thought was a crazy discovery, Mike showed me Colour Lovers and from then on I have just used them for color inspiration and creation. With Colour Lovers you have an abundant amount of users adding colors, color palettes and articles each day. Its just amazing how many colors and different variations of colors people are using to create these magnificent color schemes. After creating an account there, I was able to download user’s colors and palettes in six different formats. The formats are as follows; ASE, PS (Photoshop), AI (Illustrator), CS, HTML and a ZIP file. My favorite feature at Colour Lovers is the little app that is at the top of the page when creating a color palettes. It lets your insert a URL of any image on the net and grabs about 20 or so colors from that image to help you get colors. Colour Lovers makes it fun to create colors so I would suggest you go check it out and start exploring all the amazing features it has to offer.
